Show #10 - The Vegan Cure

This special edition of Vegan Radio is produced for the Pacifica Network program 'Sprouts' and will be aired on FM stations throughout the US. Megan and Derek interview people who have overcome illness on a plant-based vegan diet, as well as experts in the fields of nutrition and vegan diet planning.

On show number 9 we do our first ever on-air phone interview with vegan guru Dr. Michael Greger, MD. We also interview our first ever on-air guest - Anja from Touchstone Farm & Yoga Center in Easthampton, MA. Anja talks about a capitalist plot to force the Touchstone collective to sell their land to developers who want to put up condos. Down with the man!!! Anja also plays a song for us to sweeten up our musical segment.

On January 1st 1996 the Vegan Radio co-hosts went vegan together, and on the 10th anniversary of this event they go back to Rochester NY to talk to the friends, family and influential people they knew back then. In this show (part 1) they talk to people they knew during the time they were active in the Rochester Animal Defense League (ADL), including Joe Connelly, editor of VegNews magazine, Nicole Rogers, Anna Hartwell, Tammi McBath, Burly Matt, Rob & Jen, and Steve Grills.

Show #5 - The Annie Dodge Rescue

Our fifth show features an amazing rescue story of a cow named Annie Dodge who escaped slaughter in Vermont and lived in the wild for 6 months, eventually ending up at the home of a couple who so happened to be Farm Sanctuary members. Vegan Radio correspondent (and co-host) Derek Goodwin was there to take photos and and get the story. We also have local New England activist Aryenish Birdie, who is changing her middle name to "Vegan", so she can be known as "A Vegan Birdie"!

Show #4 - Farmer Brown and the Pedal People

Our fourth show features Harold Brown, a dairy farmer gone vegan, who was featured in the Peaceable Kingdom Documentary and now works for Farm Sanctuary. We also have amazing local veggie bicycle activists from Pedal People, three news stories featuring celebrity activists Sir Paul and Heather Mills McCartney, and more!

Show #3 - A Farm Sanctuary Thanksgiving

Our third show features the Farm Sanctuary Celebration for the Turkeys which took place November 19th, 2005. We interview people who work at the sanctuary, people from all over eastern North America who came to the event, and even a turkey named Wiley.
